A Community Pop-Up Class

Come explore Pilates beyond the basics of the mat!

Pilates Mat + More is a playful, exploratory class built around the foundational principles of Pilates—breath, alignment, control, concentration, precision, and whole-body connection—while adding a variety of props to change the experience, create feedback, and challenge the body in new ways.

Throughout class, we may incorporate the Pilates Circle, overball, foam roller, stretch strap, massage balls, and other props to explore familiar movements from a different perspective.

Together, we’ll work toward:

• Building functional strength and tone

• Creating a sense of length and mobility

• Developing greater body awareness and connection

• Exploring balance, coordination, and control

• Discovering how a simple prop can completely change what you notice in a movement

• And most importantly—having some fun while we move together

Who is this for?

This community class is a great opportunity if you’ve been curious about our work but haven’t known where to begin, enjoy Pilates and want to explore it in a different way, or are already part of our community and want to share the experience with someone you know.

Current members: Use your regular Mat class credits.

And this is a perfect class to bring or invite a friend who has been wondering what you do when you disappear to Abel Wellness each week! No equipment experience is needed.
